We Promised You...and a GIVEAWAY!
Yesterday we promised to share a few of our NEWEST and LATEST designs, so here they are. This style is so fun to play around with and easier than you might think.
- To get the letters perfect, I usually play around with the letters and words using Photoshop.
- When I'm happy with the size and layout, I print my design on printer paper and trace them right on to my watercolor paper. Hint: I set the file size to the same size as my paper so I know the letters will fit.
- For tracing, I wait until daytime and tape my papers to a window and trace away using a pencil.
- First I ink the letters then draw right around them, so easy and fun -- and really a stunner when finished and colored. Some people use masking fluid to keep the letters white, but that's too much work for me. I just want to get drawing and coloring!
- Note: The font I used for this series is Clarendon!
